• where can i learn to make 3d games in java from scratch?

  Just wondering if anyone knows of anything i can read or watch that explains 3D graphics. i do not want to use any game engine like jogl etc. but i am looking for a way i can learn in detail how 3D works. preferably in java. I have used some game engines but would prefer to learn to make for myself. I would also like to do it without the java3d library. I have also watched some tutorials on 3d games in java, but would like to learn in more detail. Thanks.

It goes like this: Providers are creating their travel deals (same as some blogger create blog in WordPress); Users book wanted travel deals; Providers, who have their account where they can see if users book their deal, are notified by the email and sms about just booked (sold) deal. Site is going to be developed using WordPress.   So here's a puzzle for all you SEO gurus out there. I recently launched my own site. I had target keywords which were ranking very well for about 1 month, within the top five and even appearing in first place. In an attempt to maintain good positioning, I followed guidelines by adding robots.txt, an xml sitemap redirecting non-www to www redirecting index.php to root domain adding htaccess 301 redirect for old pages I added rich snippets created a google+ account, verified my picture to appear, I went through each of the webmaster issues with duplicate titles and meta descriptions and improved header tag document outlines i even created a few more blog posts to keep the content freshing and moving. So now my website appears on page 2 with my target keywords - and all because I followed the guidelines. What is happening? I see competitors with stagnant content superglued to position 1.

  I developing a client's blog and he needs it to be bilingual (english and spanish). Now what he wants is that users can get to the content based on the domain e.g. Jhon enters www.domain.com and he gets the english version and Juan enters www.elsenordominio.com to get the spanish version. All content will be validated by php so the users and search engines only reads the domain related language. What do i need to use header re-direct or 301? is it bad for seo? will google will google penalize me? I hope you guys can help me and forgive me if my english is not good.

• Custom keyboard shortcuts are reset. How can I make them set permanently?

  I'm having a problem with both Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 with custom keyboard shorcuts. They are reset after a while (I can't find a pattern but it seems to be when a massive upgrade happens). It happend to me a couple of days ago, when 12.10 got about 27 updates. I've searched launchapd and askubuntu, and found no question similar. My shortucts are not lost on reboot, I still can't find a pattern to identify the problem as I said. I tried also not using Control Center app, but gnome's dconf-editor, but same result as I found on some blog post. My question is, how can I save my custom shorcuts to restore them when this happens? Can somebody help me compose a bug for launchpad, like what package could be causing this, so I can fill a bug report. Thanks in advance.

  This isn't a language-specific thing as far as I'm concerned. I was wondering what may be a quick way to change the COLOR of a certain on-screen element such as a button and its associated text. I would assume there is a trick to making a graphics engine so maybe individuals pixels or groups of sprites can have their colors easily shifted. A lot of game interface buttons and such have this so you know when an event like a click has occurred. Any pseudo code would be helpful and I am working in Android (not XML fluff), but again, this probably is not a very specific question, just an inquiry on how to go about this.

  Hey Everyone, Do you remember a arcade game, that allow two people to versus or play each other? A Galaga/Gradius type game. Me and a couple of other people I know wanna make a game like this. We want to get some other opinions on what programming languages to use.(C or C++ isn't an option .). We plan to use an engine to help us build. It's gonna be a multiplayer game, so we would be handling the networking with this language as well. We are thinking about C#, Java, or Actionscript 3. Any Advice on this?   I tried making the following change to my wordpress site to permanently redirect a common link to a new page. I could've -sworn- that this used to work. But it simply does not (at least in WP 3.9). I have had to resort to using a Redirect Plug-In. I'm wondering -why- it doesn't work and if there is a technique which -will- work. I'd prefer to continue to use .htaccess for simplicity.   I'd like to join three ideas into one interesting and sometimes useful feature. There was a question about using multiple passwords earlier this year, but it didn't receive much attention. I'd like to ask the question again after showing an interesting and new way to use the feature.   Following my previous question, I decided to migrate my andengine game to libdgx to have the desktop option. The game assets were planned, at first, to use a 1080x600 resolution and I raised that to 1200x800 which is native for many tablets and would look better on monitors. I followed this blog aproach regarding aspect ratio, which worked nicely on the desktop version, but running the android version (on my smaller tablet), the background would still appear on the original size being cropped by the smaller screen size. How can I force the resize of the background (or for what matter, of everything) on android to fit the screen?

  Beyond the obvious something that seams real, realism in games is a hard feature to hit. In some cases, things that are completely impossible in real life are seen as realistic by gamers. For instance, in some FPS you can survive being hit by a fair amount of bullets when in real life one is enough, Newton-defying car drifts, etc. So, in some cases, reductions of life-like actions or consequences implies a bigger sense of realism. The root of this pseudo-philosophical question lies in: I am going to create a engine for battles in an online (browser-based) strategic game. Browser-based means that the battle would not be seen. And i do not know how to approach this realism issue.
