What exactly is the difference between Proc Means and Proc Summary? Many sites state that both these are same, but unless each has something unique will SAS create it?
My table structure looks like this:
create table rankings (
id IDENTITY NOT NULL,
user_id INT NOT NULL,
game_poule_id INT NOT NULL,
rank INT NOT NULL,
insertDate DATETIME NOT NULL,
FOREIGN KEY (user_id) REFERENCES users(id) ON DELETE CASCADE,
FOREIGN KEY (game_poule_id) REFERENCES game_poules(id) ON DELETE CASCADE
);
All old rankings of users per game are saved in this table. Now I want to have the last but one rank in the table for all users in a gamepoule.
Has someone an idea how to achive this? Thanks
How do you distribute other files needed by your application that aren't in a jar file? For example, the application at http://www.javabeginner.com/java-swing/java-swing-shuffle-game . The download contains Shuffle.jar, Shuffle.bat, Score.dat, and an images folder with 3 images in it. I can see possibly putting the images directly in Shuffle.jar, but you wouldn't want to put Score.dat in the jar file because it changes. Is there somewhere you could identify this type of file in the jnlp?
Would you hire a developer who doesn't know how to use regular expressions?
That's about it, please state your reasons for or against, and feel free to give different answers for different situations. Just try to break up your answers if you can.
Hello,
I have an asynchronous control-flow like the following:
ActorA ! DoA(dataA, callback1, callbackOnErrorA)
def callback1() = {
...
ActorB ! DoB(dataB, callback2, callbackOnErrorB)
}
def callback2() = {
ActorC ! DoC(dataC, callback3, callbackOnErrorC)
}
...
How would I divide this flow into several parts (continuations) and sequentially dispatch these to different actors (or threads/tasks) while maintaining the overall state?
Any hint appreciated, Thanks
Any combo box I create seems to be stuck at 12 dialog units in height. Microsoft's guidelines for spacing and sizing of controls in dialog boxes state that a combo box should be 14 dialog units high.
I have even tried editing the resource file in notepad and recompiling in Visual Studio without opening the resource editor - but the combo boxes are still the wrong size!
Any ideas?
Hi
Is there a simple way of tracking the change of an Mdi's children i.e. when they are created and closed, something like an event OnMdiChildListChanged (I realise this doesn't actually exist).
I am also aware that I could have a method within my Mdi that handles the creation of child forms and logs the state of them or even create an Interface that defines that a child form has a "NotifyParent" method that is then called on close of the form, but i was wondering if there was any built in events that i could plumb into?
Thanks
What is the best way to insert an image programatically into the RichTextBox control in C# Winforms? If the method is using Clipboard then what is the optimized way to keep the Clipboard original data (i.e. the data state before placing my image on the Clipboard) available to be replaced after my temporary usage of Clipboard for inseting my image in Rich Text Box Control.
My mac laptop has 1,024,000 pixels.
What's the simplest way to turn my display completely black and go nuts with writing little programs to twiddle pixels to my heart's delight?
To make it more concrete, say I wanted to implement the Chaos Game to draw a Sierpinski triangle, at the pixel level, with nothing else on the screen.
What are ways to do that?
when i open a new xxx.xml file it doesnt write to the R.id my new var
example
when i write in xml :
<__Button android:text="New Game"
android:id="@+id/newGameButton"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"</Button
(the _ r from this web format boundaries )
in R it should write :
public static final int newGameButton=0x7f050013;
note : this is a xml i added as new to my project should i make something so the eclipse tool will write automatically to the R file?
I am working on a notification system in my iPhone game and want an image to pop up on the screen and automatically fade after 2 seconds.
User clicks a button that calls the method "popupImage"
An image appears on the screen in a designated spot, it doesn't need to fade in
The image fades out by itself after being on the screen for 2 seconds.
Is there any way of doing this? Thanks ahead of time.
Hi,
My friend's account for some Facebook game was suspended on the grounds that he had Greasemonkey installed on his browser. He is asked to uninstall Greasemonkey and account has been restored. My question is how can a web server detect a client side plugin presence?
I assume that Greasemonkey or greasemonkey scripts operate on the client side only so it would not be possible for the server to detect it.
Thanks.
hi i have property named.
public bool ShowLabels{get; set;}
and one toolbar menu button to set/unset ShowLabels value

I'm working with xna in C# and in my game I will have a variety of space ships flying all over the place. They will each have an arbitrary rotation, size and position in space and I need a method to determine when they collide. Ideally the method would take two Rectangles, two doubles and two Vector2s for size, rotation and position respectively and return a boolean that indicates whether they have intersected or not.
Has anyone implemented any effective solutions to address the numerous issues that are caused by IE8's session sharing functionality? We've gotten very close by writing a custom http module that compares session and view state values, but our efforts are thwarted by things such as accelerator keys and unaccceptable copying of session objects.
This is a VB.Net web app.
I have a program that needs to check the state of an icon in the system tray. The program in the system tray swaps it's icon depending on it's communication status with the server and I need to check which Icon it is using right now. I found a way to extract the current icon, but how do I check which Icon that is?
I've written a couple of c# forms applications which use a lot of the same data/objects which would better be combined. I realise I could use modal forms to launch each of these but where should I state .dll's and other resources, on the parent form? or on each other form where necessary?
I load scripts using luaL_loadfile and then lua_pcall from my game, and was wondering if instead of loading them into the global table, I could load them into a table named after their filename?
For example:
I have I file called "Foo.lua", which contains this:
function DoSomething()
--something
end
After loading it I want to be able to access it like:
Foo.DoSomething()
Thanks!
Hi,
I set cells of the first column of my grid, with a class as follow:
$("#myGrid").jqGrid('setCell',rowid,'column_1', '', '**ui-state-default**');
How to change the class of a cell when the mouse is over on it ?
Thanks you so much !
I had an index that had status error, so following the docs I tried to vacuum my indexes to remove it. When running appcfg.py to vacuum it I got this error message:
Error 400: --- begin server output ---
Deleting a composite index failed:
ApplicationError: 1
--- end server output ---
Now all of my indexes are in error state. How can I fix this?
I use AVAudioPlayer to play an mp3 file to a user within my iPhone app. This all works fine and dandy. I even update a PLAY/PAUSED button depending on the state of the player. But it would be nice to know how much longer the song will play.
So How do I show the time remaining?
I'm trying to drop a constraint on a db table, something like:
ALTER TABLE MyTable drop CONSTRAINT FK_MyTable_AnotherTable
But the execution just runs and runs. If I stop it I see:
Msg 3727, Level 16, State 0, Line 2
Could not drop constraint. See previous errors.
Web search throws up various pages but note that the constraint is properly named and I am trying to remove it using the correct name
I saw this question and it reminded me of AutoGenerateColumns in the old DataGrid. The few times I've used them, I ended up backing it out because I needed data formatting past the standard "spit out the Data Source columns." Likewise, with toggle, it sounds like it would save time, but then you end up needing to keep track of state or something else, and you rewrite the code accordingly.
Are there things that you end up using thinking it will save you time, but end up backing out because it doesn't do what you need?
I've got a utility that outputs a list of files required by a game. How can I run that utility within a C program and grab its output so I can act on it within the same program?
UPDATE: Good call on the lack of information. The utility spits out a series of strings, and this is supposed to be complete portable across Mac/Windows/Linux. Please note, I'm looking for a programmatic way to execute the utility and retain its output (which goes to stdout).
Hello!
I'm currently making a role-playing game, and I want the text to scroll like all the other RPGs I've played.
How would I accomplish this?
Thanks!
