• How to reset lstset settings for listings?

  At the top of my tex document, I set my sourcecode listing format by \lstset{language=java} \lstset{numbers=left, numberstyle=\tiny, numbersep=5pt, breaklines=true} \lstset{emph={square}, emphstyle=\color{red}, emph={[2]root,base}, emphstyle={[2]\color{blue}}} because I merely list Java source code. At one point in my document, I had to reformat for a single listing by \lstset{commentstyle=\footnotesize\textit} \lstset{basicstyle=\ttfamily\fontsize{11}{12}\selectfont} \lstset{literate= {!=} {$\neq$}{2}} Now I have the problem that my previous Java formatting for listings is destroyed, and I dont know how to reset the lst settings to default. How can this be avoided?

• I cannot get this Jquery Image ComboBox to Work

  Im trying to use this plugin: http://www.marghoobsuleman.com/jquery-image-dropdown I cannot get it to work in my file. I copied and pasted the code from the example files and made the necessary links to the js and css files just to test, and i still cant get it to work. • C# How to pause/suspend a thread then continue it?

  I am making an application in C# which uses a winform as the GUI and a separate thread which is running in the background automatically changing things. Ex: public void run() { while(true) { printMessageOnGui("Hey"); Thread.Sleep(2000); . . } } How would I make it pause anywhere in the loop, because one iteration of the loop takes around 30 seconds. So I wouldnt want to pause it after its done one loop, I want to pause it on time. Thanks!

• Method for exporting drawn flash/flex UIComponent to vector based print file

  Hi, I am creating a flex application where I am using the built in graphics package of flex 3 to draw shapes and things to a UIComponent. I want to be able to export this vector image UIComponent to a vector based file, pdf, eps etc. Are there any tools, libraries, or methods for doing so? I looked at AlivePDF - which works very slick, but its output is effectively a snapshot of the UIComponent drawn out as a bitmap to the PDF. I want true vector output, as this image is for print, needs to be able to scale and be color correct. I read somewhere that it may be possible with Adobe Live Cycle, but in looking at the documentation I'm not sure how to use it. Another possibility is to submit the final image parameters to a server-side PHP script that would re-generate the image in SVG format. But as I understand SVG is not ideal for print, and this is lots of extra work. Any thoughts, ideas, methods? Thanks!

• Adding a search box to a windows forms web browser control that highlights text

  I have a windows forms (using c#) application. It displays a webpage and has a textbox/botton combination which can be used to search for text displayed to the user. Currently I search the inner text of all elements for the text in the textbox. And then I weed out the elements that are redundant (for example a word could be in a 'p' and 'b' element where the 'b' is a child element of 'p' so the element returned should be 'b'). Finally I run the ScrollIntoView(true) method on the found element. I'd now like to add a function that highlights the text (like if you search for a term in a real webbrowser). My first thought was to just inject html and or javascript code around the text but that seems like a messy solution. Any ideas on how I should do this? Thanks for your help!

• correct way to turn EAR module into OSGI bundle

  Greetings to all! There is a necessity to turn part of EAR (namely - war) into OSGI bundle and retain it's interoperability. Glassfish 3.0.1 already has osgi-web-container module and I succeeded to deploy standalone OSGI war. But in case of of ex-enterprise war it looks a bit difficult to me. What do I do with EJB calls from inside future OSGI war? Is it enough to replace @EJB injections with true JNDI lookups? What about APIs and libraries shared across EAR? I could split and rearrange them, but still I will have at least one jar needed by both EAR and OSGI war. Duplicate, make it as OSGI-bundle itself and make it available to ear somehow, place it GF domain's library path? Any other ideas, advices which could make that hybrid working? The problem is that I need only one marker and if I click several times, each time a new marker is added. How to change the code so only one marker is placed and when the map is clicked again it just changes its location?

  I decided to use Dynamic Data Entities website in vs2012. So, I created this website,then added App_Code directory and added a new edmx to it and named it myDB.edmx. After that I uncommented the code line in global.asax which registers the entity context : DefaultModel.RegisterContext(typeof(myDBEntities), new ContextConfiguration() { ScaffoldAllTables = true }); But when I run the website this error occurs : The context type 'myDBEntities' is not supported. how can I fix it? p.s: You now there are some differences between using L2S by Dynamic Data L2S website AND using entity framework by Dynamic Data Entities website.

• Select distinct users with referrals

  I have a bunch of Users. Since Django doesn't really let me extend the default User model, they each have Profiles. The Profiles have a referred_by field (a FK to User). I'm trying to get a list of Users with = 1 referral. Here's what I've got so far Profile.objects.filter(referred_by__isnull=False).values_list('referred_by', flat=True) Which gives me a list of IDs of the users who have referrals... but I need it to be distinct, and I want the User object, not their ID. Or better yet, it would be nice if it could return the number of referrals a user has. Any ideas?

• Is there any ready-made calendar control for iPhone apps?

  I am building an applicaiton for the iPhone that will display upcoming and past events. I settled for a list view, but then I realized that a calendar (just like the one displayed in the "month" view in the built-in Calendar application) would be a best match (that is, this one). However, the iPhone Human Interface Guidelines just mentions the Date Picker, not the calendar, so I believe there is nothing like that out of the box. Is that true? If so, does anyone know of a third-party control that could be used? (I could write one myself, but I'd rather pick up something ready, since this is a departure on the original project plans). • How can I add spacing in RelativeLayout

  Hi, I have a Relative Layout. Which has 2 buttons, side by side and it is right-aligned. So this is my layout xml file. My question is there are no spacing between the right-most button and the right border of the RelativeLayout and between the 2 buttons. How can I add that? I play with android:paddingRight, but nothing helps. • C# Image.Clone to byte[] causes EDIT.COM to open on Windows XP

  It appears that cloning a Image and converting it to a byte array is causing EDIT.COM to open up on Windows XP machines. This does not happen on a Windows 7 machine. The application is a C# .NET 2.0 application. Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening?   Does anybody know how I can get multiple instances of the same grid to display on one frame? Whenever I create more than 1 instance of the same object, the display of the original grid widget completely collapses and I'm left unable to do anything with it. I've searched Google and grepped the CXF source code, but don't see anything in the docs or code that reference this. Any idea how to make the client send "SoapCompressed: off" instead, without routing it through Apache HTTPD or the like? Is there a way to configure it at the CXF client, in other words?

• executing a class in remote jvm

  Hi All, I have a small test class that i want to run on a particular jvm that's already up and running (basically it's an web application running on Tomcat) . The reason i want to do this is i want to execute a small test class (with the main method and all) within that jvm so that i get the same environment (loaded and initialized classes) for my test class. Is it possible to indicate that ,say through a jvm parameter, that it should not initialize a new vm to execute my class but instead go and execute on the remote vm and show me the result here, on my console. So the local jvm acts as a kind of thin proxy ? I am not aware in case there are some tools that should make this possible ... also heard somewhere that java 6 jvm comes with an option like this , is that true ?? Please help me. Thanks,
