  • E-mail message of failed lock not identifying affected Lotus Notes documents

    I have a user who was sent several messages to his Outlook account with the following subject: Changes made to the database xxxx have NOT been incorporated into the database. There was a conflict detected. Your changes may be found in body of this message. A document link to the original document is attached to the end of the message. Unfortunately, besides the link, the body of the email is blank and the link URL is of this form: Notes:///482567CC001B4104. The link seems to be making reference to the database replica ID and clicking on the link opens up the database and not directly to the affected document. I'm finding that the message is not very useful in terms of identifying the affected document. Can anyone advise me on the ways to identify the affected documents or configure the system so that it would identify/link the affected documents?

  • Exchange Mail Flow

    Hello. I have a question. We have one Exchange 2003 server and two Exchange 2007 servers. Most all of our mailboxes are on 2007 but we do still have one shared mailbox, unity mailbox and a journling mailbox on 2003. Public Folders have been set to replicate to 2007. I have set up a send connector on 2007 with a cost of 1. Receive connectors have Anonymous Users checked on 2007. On 2003 there are two connectors: the Internet Email connector and the connector that connects 2003 to 2007. We have a SPAM filtering device that email goes through before it is handed off to Exchange. The SPAM filtering device is set to send email to one of our Exchange 2007 servers. Here is my question/problem: Even though the SPAM filtering device is set to forward email to Exchange 2007, somehow all of our email is still going through the Exchange 2003 server before it finally hits the users mailboxes on the Exchange 2007 server. How can I change it so that all email goes directly to Exchange 2007 and never routes through Excahnge 2003 both ways, inbound and outbound? Would also like to add: In the EMC under Org- Hub- Send Connector there are two connectors. One is the "Internet Connector" from the 2003 box and the other is the new one I created. THe address space on the 2003 one is set to a cost of 2, no smart hosts and the 2003 box is listed as the Source Server. THe other Send Connector has an address space of 1, no smart host and has the 2 excahnge 2007 servers listed as the source servers. In EMC under Server- Hub- my two exchange 2007 servers are listed. Each one has 2 receive connectors. Both Recieve Connectors are setup the same way. THe Default Receive Connector has Anonymous Users checked. The other Recieve Connector is labled "Client" and I am not sure what it does or why its there. Anonymous Users are not checked. No smart hosts configured on 2003. Additional details Currently we have 3 excahnge servers. One exchange 2003 server and two excahnge 2007 servers. THe exchange 2003 server is the acting "bridgehead" serverand all email is routing through this server, inbound and outbound. We are wanting to decommission this server and use our two exchange 2007 servers as our mailbox servers. All of of user mailboxes are already on one of the exchange 2007 boxes and we want to put whats left on the exchange 2003 box on our other excahnge 2007 box. Both excahnge 2007 servers are currently CAS, HT and MB servers. We have a SPAM filtering device that sits between our excahnge servers and the firewall and have it configured to send messages to one of the excahgne 2007 servers but when we look at the message headers we can see that messgaes are still being routed to the excahnge 2003 box. We want to bypass the exchange 2003 in the routing process as it is dying and is starting to have major issues so everytime it goes down our email is down. Is there possible some sort of AD routing link/site link stuff going on?

  • Unable to receive emails from Ubuntu postfix mail server

    I am unable to receive emails on an Ubuntu 11.04 server running postfix with the Plesk control panel. I can't see the mails even on webmail. I am able to send emails and am not getting any error messages on the email client when I try to receive.   • Outlook 2007 - Fwd all mail from one mailbox to another email

    I have two separate mailboxes setup in Outlook. My main everyday one (call this A), and another one which is where clients questions go direct to (call this B) I have a few rules setup on my main inbox. I need to setup a new rule to fwd all incoming email to B, to another colleague. If this was for mailbox A, it would not seem to hard and I would basically follow the instructions here. However, I cant see a way of applying rules to separate MailBoxes. - Does anyone know how to do this?

    Hey Guys, I'm having some trouble with my Smart Mailbox setup. I've got a Smart Mailbox named "Unread". And Contains messages that match any of the following conditions: Message is Unread Message is not in Mailbox News (AT) lovejungle.com Message is not in Mailbox Info (AT) lovejungle.com For some reasons, it is still displaying messages in either News@ or Info@.   • Gmail for Googleapps mail delivery issues

    I have a google apps domain running gmail. One of the owners of one of the email accounts is complaining that some emails don't get delivered to him. I sent him an email that did not get to its destination on one hand but I got no NDR on the other hand. I have already checked that the email was not on in his spam folder. The only thing that he has there is a forwarding rule that is also set up to leave the original in place. I am looking for any tools or ideas on how to debug this.

    I have postfix installed and running. The problem is only root can send email. other users failed to do. Here is the log for user www-data which is a web server application.     I have a Mediatemple dv (Plesk) server with two domains, each has static IP. I had domain1 as main domain and domain2 as secondary. When A PHP script from domain2 sends email the headers show the IP address of domain1 as the origin. Received: from domain2.com (domain1.com [70.ipof domain1]). I want only domain2 to be mentioned so I did the following: Changed server name to domain2.com made domain2.com the primary domain (about 30 hours ago) made fixed IP address of domain2.com the default address for the server. Still when the script sends emails I see the same info as above in the header. What do I need to do to make the email origin domain2.com?

  • How to automatically move mail into appropriate folders - Outlook for Mac 2011

    Is there anyway to have emails automatically placed into folders where the original email resides? Situation: I sort my emails into various folders based on clients. However, when a new email comes in that was a reply to a previous it goes to my inbox versus going into the client folder. I know the typical answer is "just create a rule for that client". The problem with that is my clients change often, and creating a new rule that often is infeasible. I was hoping there might be some way to have a "follow source email" option. That way, when I move email A into folder X, all subsequent replies to email A will automatically be placed in folder X. Any ideas?

    In 2008 server the File resource manager can be set up to alert users when they go over their quota etc. This is all configured however the email notifications are not working. They have been configured but the event log shows that the user does not have permission to send to the exchange server. There isnt an option to chosse who to send the email from.     Hello, I have an email server setup on Debian Lenny with Postfix, Dovecot, SASL and MySQL. Currently, the password scheme in my dovecot-sql.conf file is set to: CRYPT default_pass_scheme = CRYPT I would like to globally change the scheme to something stronger like SSHA, or MD5-CRYPT and re-hash all passwords with SSHA. What is the best way to do this? The Dovecot wiki mentions how passwords that don't follow the default scheme defined in dovecot-sql.conf can be prefixed with "{ssha}password", but I couldn't see anything regarding changing an already-existing scheme to a new one for all passwords that are already in the database.   • Postfix sending mail back to itself? (Ubuntu 9.10)

    I setup Dovecot and Postfix using the "Dovecot-Postfix" package with SASL and all that. The Dovecot part seems to be working fine but I'm having issues with Postfix. Whenever I send a message to another address through the postfix server, two things happen. the message never gets to the other address (even when I request a delivery notification, it says that it's been delivered but it's not in the spam box in the other inbox or anything) The message comes back to my inbox through Dovecot as though I sent it to myself internally. e.g. I send an email through my postfix server to my gmail account, 10 minutes later nothing shows up in my gmail account but the message comes back to me as though I was sending it to my internal address (with no errors) Any ideas?
