• Black flicker while resizing translucent Qt widget (only when Aero is enabled)?

  I have a top-level Qt widget with the FramelessWindowHint flag and the WA_TranslucentBackground attribute set. It has several children, each of which draws an image on it. They are not in a layout. Instead, I simply move them around when something changes (it is not user-resizable). There are two states to the window - a big state and a small state. When I switch between them, I resize the window and reposition the children. The problem is that as the window resizes, a black box is briefly flashed on the top-level window before the images are painted over it. The problem goes away if I disable Aero. I found brief mention of this problem being fixed in an article describing a new release of Qt (this release is long past), but it still doesn't work. Any ideas why? Thanks!

  I want to set the Expires header for all image/* and text/css. I'm doing this in a Filter. However: before calling chain.doFilter(..) the Content-type is not yet "realized" after calling chain.doFilter(..) the Content-type is set, but so is content-length, which forbids adding new headers (at least in Tomcat implementation) I can use the extensions of the requested resource, but since some of the css files are generated by richfaces by taking them from inside jar-files, the name of the file isn't x.css, but is /xx/yy/zz.xcss/DATB/.... So, is there a way to get the Content-type before the response is committed.

  Hi all, I am using Visual Studio 2008 and CR XI R2 for a web application built in silverlight. currently I am having a problem with showing a dynamic image on a crystal report. I was told that the reference file added in the project might be old version, so I replaced the reference files to be 11.5x version from 10.5x version. I removed all 10.5x dlls and then added 11.5x dlls, but I see 10.5x dlls are added instead. does anybody how to fix this problem? Please help. Thanks,

Trying to explain better The array contains debt sums related to many people, it is the application's main function. • Tools for displaying text, powerpoint style, in linux

  I have a problem where I need a way to display a repeating series of "images" on a computer monitor. Specifically, given a series of text files, I'd like a way to display the contents of said files on a screen in a way much like a powerpoint would. My current thoughts are to find some tool that will take in a text file of some format, and then output an image which contains the text from the file. Then I'd put it in a directory and have some Slideshow program continuously go between the images in that directory. It's a very hacky solution, obviously. So, does anyone know of tools that would do such a thing? Or is there a better way to do this? I've looked into the library libgd2, but it doesn't seem to support text-wrapping for images, which is something I'd need. Thanks!

The steps are 1)extract SURF descriptors for all images 2)store the descriptors 3)Apply knn on the stored descriptors 4)Match the stored descriptors to the query image descriptor using KNN Now each images SURF descriptor will be stored as Hierarchical k means tree, now do I store each tree as a separate file or is it possible to build some sort of single tree with all the images descriptors and updated as images are added to dataset.   i have recently purchased an AVR USB programmer from robokits.co.in, was trying to program atmeg8 using AVR studio4 and i get the following when i click on the program options: a problem occurred when executing the command. make sure u are using the correct programming method. current mode is ISP verify that the device is placed in the correct socket, and that the ISP cable is connected properly.check that the programming frequency specified in the main page is well below 1/4th of the clock frequency of the device. i have tried all that i could think of, i have checked the connections and the freq is below 1/4th of the device. but that doesn't solve this problem i have made the circuit for blinking LEDs program please help me out see the image for details thanking you

  I have a picture on a given URL. The picture might need a referesh. I want to do the freshness-check at the time of the request. Therefore, I coded a jersey resource handling the request on the picture URL. It refreshes the picture on the filesystem if necessary. I do not want to re-code a caching mechansim, but rely on tomcat's implementation. Therefore, I would like to "forward" the request in the internal handler chain. I tried return new Viewable(sb.toString());, but a viewable is not a picture. What return type can I use? I could let the concrete picture reside on another URL and send a 307 (Temporary Redirect). • Instantaneous frequency not plotting correctly in Matlab

  I'm trying to convert square wave data to instantaneous frequency and plot against time. It works correctly for one data set, but three others are plotting as shown in the image: http://i.imgur.com/iuL648o.png Time is linear, so it shouldn't be plotting like that. Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on? Programs such as wget or curl will non-interactively retrieve a set of URLs, but do not execute javascript or any of that 'fancy stuff'. My ideal solution looks like any of the following (fantasy solutions): cat urls.txt | google-chrome --quiet --no-gui \ --output-sources-directory=~/urls-source (fantasy command line, no idea if flags like these exist) or cat urls.txt | python -c "import some-library; \ ... use some-library to process urls.txt ; output sources to ~/urls-source" As a secondary concern, I also need: dump all included javascript source to file (a la firebug) dump pdf/image of page to file (print to file)

  See this SuperUser question. To summarize, VM software lets you save state of arbitrary applications (by saving the whole VM image). Would it be possible to write some software for Windows that allows you to save and reload arbitrary application state? If so (and presumably so), what would it entail? I would be looking to implement this, if possible, in a high-level language like C#. I presume if I used something else, I would need to dump memory registers (or maybe dump the entire application memory block) to a file somewhere and load it back somewhere to refresh state. So how do I build this thing?

• Equal height divs with footer always at bottom of tallest div

  I was wondering if this were possible, and if it is the best way to go about this: example image (since I'm not allowed to post pics yet ^^) So, not only does each column have to be of equal height, but each column also has its own individual footer. I saw this post httx://stackoverflow.com/questions/1347366/div-at-bottom-of-window-and-adaptable-height-div (I also can't post more than one link....) - how could I rework this technique to apply to the bottom of the divs and not the bottom of the window? *edit - each column will have content that will constantly change and be of variable height. I'm thinking I could just figure out the equal height columns first, then just absolute position a footer div within those columns. Does its parent div then have to be position: relative?

• What are some ways to identify a logged in user on the web?

  Here is the scenario: There are 5 websites (different domain names) that need to share a session. I am using a bit of code on each site which returns a "blank.gif" image and at the same time sets the session (syncing it up to the current session). Each of the sites calls a session-img from each of the other sites. Also, all sites have access to the same database (where the session is stored). This works great on FF and Chrome, but not on IE (or Safari PC)... I need to come up with an alternative method to keep a session active? The app is a small custom CMS, so really only 2-3 people will be using it. I can probably identify user logins by IP and then continue to check for the IP accross all sites... Is there something more granular such as a computer uuid that i can check for?

• Android ImageButton / Custom-Button?

  Hi everyone, I am new to android development. So far I could help myself in all matters by reading threads here on stackoverflow. Now I am stuck and need someones help. Unfortunately I am not allowed to post an image of a screenshot because I am a new mamber, so I try to descripe it. I have a Samsung Galasy S and the clock app that ships with it has an button called "+ Create alarm". I want to create a similar button for my app. I've been experimenting with ImageButton. I do know how to get that "+"-Icon onto an ImageButton, but only centered and without text. I guess this is a custom button. Does anyone know how to do this? Can I do it in xml or do I need to extend the view-class and make it my own view?

• Can anyone explain why this behaviour might be happening in Windows Forms?

  I'm developing a Windows Forms Application. See attached image for the Interface. Now I've put a close button (X) in the Panel(say Panel2) which has Application Constants as label.The first combo box is in another panel(say Panel1). Now when I click on the X button in Panel 2 I want the Panel to be invisible and the combo box text to be blank. Simple enough. So I write Panel2.visible=false; comboBox1.SelectedIndex=-1; When I click on X, the text in combo box goes blank, then I have to click again for the Panel2 to go invisible. Then I changed the sequence comboBox1.SelectedIndex=-1; Panel2.visible=fasle; and this works smooth. Not sure why this might be happening? Is there anything that I might be doing with my form design/code to have such a behaviour?

• Load local Html file doesn't refer the js file in UIWebView

  I am working with UIWebView project and I want to load an HTML file from a project resource. It is working fine when I run from the URL, but when I view the HTML file locally, JS files are not loaded. Loading the local HTML local file doesn't refer to js files in UIWebView.
