    Hi, I am using Disc2Vhd to make a vhd of my drive. Does the tool support partitions? My partitions of C:\ are listed as both drives and volumes. In short, is there any issue when I select both partitions that make one physical drive? Thanks

  • how to stop homegroup sharing folders?

    hi, i have homegroup on my pc and laptop, both running windows 7 , i can share the folders & files easily, but the problem is i cant stop sharing the folder. even i went to computer manage and stop sharing from there, but inside the homegroup the "stopped" share files are still showing. but now i cant open them because its showing the network resource is unavailable. but still the folders are showing how to hide them?

    Hi, I am quite inexperienced with DNS, so this might be simple. Our main domain foo.com is hosted at provider A. Now, we would like to host bar.foo.com at some other provider B - they have the domain set up with them, so I figure that I can do this by somehow adding the nameserver at provider B to the DNS configuration at provider A. I previously tried * /-----/ 14400 /-----/ IN /-----/ A /-----/ (serverip) waited 30 hours and nothing. so i then tried * /-----/ 14400 /-----/ IN /-----/ CNAME /-----/ actvbiv.co.uk. waited another 30 hours, nothing Im now trying; *.actvbiz.co.uk /-----/ 14400 /-----/ IN /-----/ CNAME /-----/ actvbiv.co.uk.     Hi all, I discovered X11, and I was wondering if it is possible to install it on a dedicated server, and have a "desktop" from the server running on my personnal computer ? Or maybe it is necessary for the server to have a screen ? Or a least kde or gnome ? What I want is a desktop of my server (as if it had a screen), but on my laptop, through internet. I want to be able to launch graphic applications remotely, as if it was a PC.

    Hi All I recently bought a new computer and Windows 7 Home Premium. I only have one small problem though. I have the option "Show Window Contents While Dragging" enabled, but everytime I restart the computer, it reverts back to DISabled. The only thing i could think of is the system requirements etc. But this is not the case as my computer more than meets the full requirements. Can somebody help me please? Thank you

    Hi, If I am not mistaken, SQL server cannot be automatically updated via the regular windows backup routine. Instead, there are cummulative updates that need to be installed by hand. I assume this is done for security and stability reasons. Is this correct? If so, how can I keep track of new updates without regularly reading SQL server related blogs? Is there any low-volume newsletter I can subscribe (ideally only announcing critical updates)?
