• dotnet nuke error

  Hi there im trying to degub a dot net nuke server error and im not sure where to start. I dnt have the code locally else I could debug (no that im familiar the dnn setup). This bug affects making cms updates to the site with the message 'A critical error has occured', I have been unsuccessfully trying to find out the cause and im finally throwing up my hands, I dont even need a fix , I just want to find out what is causing the error so I can provide an estimate for a fix and I can even seem to do that. I have tried looking at the logs but nothing seems to be logged about this error, is there a way to turn off custom error handling so as to get some clues as what the cause of this bug is? any suggestions would be welcome as i am getting desperate here :)

  I am completely new to the NDK. I have done a couple of the tutorials including the hello from jni one and another one that calculates the sum of two numbers. They involved using cygwin and the ndk to create the library so file and I have a bit of a grasp on how to insert my own libraries into the libraries layer of Android. I have now been asked to access the native libraries on Android and see what I can use them for. My question is can I do this? The STABLE-APIS.txt document is a bit vague and mentions the following as Stable C++ API's in Android 1.5 cstddef new utility stl_pair.h Does that mean I can access them? If so then how do I go about it? I dont think that following the tutorials I have already done would be any help? Any pointers on how to do this or links to tutorials etc.. would be greatly appreciated

• Connecting to Python XML RPC from the Mac

  Hi, I wrote an XML RPC server in python and a simple Test Client for it in python. The Server runs on a linux box. I tested it by running the python client on the same linux machine and it works. I then tried to run the python client on a Mac and i get the following error socket.error: (61, 'Connection Refused') I can ping and ssh into the linux machine from the Mac. So i dont think its a configuration or firewall error. Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong? • Whats up with cross site Scripting (getJSON) and flickr example

  In past i had read the documentation about getJSON and there is an example with a flickr photo api. (the example with the [pussy]cats :-)). No I ask myself why is it possible, to access flickr directly with this example. Ive tried this by store this code on my local machine - it works but if I use a local copy of jquery i just get an error in firebug like this $ is not defined myurl/test.html Line 11 Does anybody of you have a solution for this paradox thing? Last but not the least, the service should provide good value for money (i.e. it should be inexpensive or relatively inexpensive for the features it provides). I am (currently) based in the United Kingdom (I dont know if this is relevant in the choise of SMS service provider). • Using Tkinter in python to edit the title bar

  I am trying to add a custom title to a window but I am having troubles with it. I know my code isn't right but when I run it, it creates 2 windows instead, one with just the title tk and another bigger window with "Simple Prog". How do I make it so that the tk window has the title "Simple Prog" instead of having a new additional window. • To store images from UIGetScreenImage() in NSMutable Array

  Hi, I'm getting images from UIGetScreenImage() and storing directly in mutable array like:- image = [UIImage imageWithScreenContents]; [array addObject:image]; [image release]; I've set this code in timer so I cant use UIImagePNGRepresentation() to store as NSData as it reduces the performance. I want to use this array directly after sometime i.e after capturing 1000 images in 100 seconds. When I use the code below:- UIImage *im = [[UIImage alloc] init]; im = [array objectAtIndex:i]; UIImageWriteToSavedPhotosAlbum(im, nil, nil, nil); the application crashes. And I dont want to use UIImagePNG or JPGRepresentation() in timer as it reduces performance. My problem is how to use this array so that it is converted into image. If anybody has idea related to it please share with me. Thanks in Advance.

  Hi , I wrote a http sniffer program , first ran it in my standalone pc < fedora OS , and it worked well. And when i tried this in a LAN setting < bus-LAN , fedora OS again , and set the eth0 to promisc mode , the program captures only the URLs browsed by the system in which it is running , but not the ones browsed in neighbouring systems.. Am i missing something here.. i've heard people talk about " setting up subnets " , " use routers / additional ethernet cards " etc , but i dont really understand / know how to do / or even if i should be doing anything of that sort.. please help ..

• Client side page permissions - Javascript / jquery / cookies / other?

  TLDR Using plain HTML / Javascript. Want to block access to some pages (doesn't have to be super secure just to stop some peeking eyes). I thought of simply doing this by setting a cookie for each page they are allowed to visit with a value of true but thats a bit messy. Although it would work. Is there a way to set an array of values to a cookie so I can read the cookie and if a name of a page is in there then allow access with an IF statement or so on each of my pages. If they dont have the cookie just to replace my #content (entirepage) to "sorry no" etc. For example: $.cookie("Access","page1, page2, page3",{ expires: 1 }); Am already using JQuery, Jquery cookie. etc. I am up for anyway of doing this cookie idea is just an example So what do you think would be the best / most efficient way of managing this?

  I'm trying to come up with a regex to be able to parse the following type of strings into groups. <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="[!PageTitle!]" href="[!SiteRoot!]/feed.xml" /> My regular expression is: \[\!(.+)\!\] The problem with this expression is that it seems to pull it all into 1 group: Found 1 match: "[!PageTitle!]" href="[!SiteRoot!]" has 1 group: 1. "PageTitle!]" href="[!SiteRoot" I want dont want the regex to continue...am I missing a boundary? Ideally I want it to find 2 groups, [!PageTitle!] and [!SiteRoot!]

• Paypal subscription API - transaction variables not POSTed

  I am writing a payments system based around paypal, I am using the HTML 'API'. I am passing the following form fields to PayPal: 'rm' = 2 'return = http://www.example.com/payment-handler.php?token=sometoken Where 'token' is a token I generated. According to the paypal documentation, a return method (rm) of 2 indicates to Paypal that the transaction data be posted back to the callback url using the POST method. When processing items using 'buy_now' buttons, the transaction items are correctly POSTed to my callback url (payment-handler.php), but for 'subscribe' operations, although the callback url is called, no POST data is sent to the url, and also, the 'token' field is missing. Instead, there is a parameter called 'auth'. I cant see anything in the paypal docs about a 'auth' field - so I dont know whats generating it and if I can reliably using it. Can anyone shed some light on this?

  I would like the user to select the time in javascript and to avoid selecting the wrong time. How should i do it? Is there some kind of javascript or jquery widget? or should i show the format and allow users to write it in (and i guess check it with regex)? i think these should be valid 1 (1s) 1:5 (1m 5s) 1.5 (1s, 500 milliseconds. not to be confused by the above) 1:2:02 (1h, 2m, 2 seconds) 1:2:2 (1h, 2m, 2 seconds) 1:2:20 (1h, 2m, 20 seconds) I dont want the user to be confused. How can i avoid this?

Ive been reading a log about tests, unit tests, tests frameworks, mocks and so on, but as a junior programmer I dont know anything about tests, not even where to start! Can anyone explain to young programmers about tests, how they`re run, where and what to test, what is unit testing, integration testing, automated tests? How much to test?
