    Hello, So I simply want to add my current facebook status to my personal website. I have been looking at tutorials and other posts about fb and fb connect, but I am still confused. Is there anyway to do this with simple REST calls? Like twitter or flickr? From what I understand I dont need FB connect because I am just getting my own status and do not need to get any info from other visitors. Any know how to do this?

  • jQuery drag drop slower for more DIV items

    Hi there, I have got a hierarchichal tags (with parent child relationship) in my page and it will account to 500 - 4500 (can even grow). When i bound the draggable and droppable for all i saw very bad performance in IE7 and IE6. The custom helper wont move smoothly and was very very slow. Based on some other post i have made the droppable been bound/unbound on mouseover and mouseout events (dynamically). Its better now. But still i dont see the custom helper move very smoothly there is a gap between the mouse cursor and the helper when they move and gets very bad when i access the site from remote. Please help me to address this performance issue. Am totally stuck here.. :(

But in firefox it will give alert message even though if you dont release the right click. I want the firefox functionality in IE8.

    hi guys, I'm trying to use jquery Full Calendar from http://arshaw.com/fullcalendar I searched the docs alot but I could not find how I can retrieve the current month a user is on at a certain moment. On render it is set as the current month in the title, but I cant find a way to use that info. I want to sent the month to my ajax call together with other params (start, end, _) but I dont know how please help me out with this. inside the fullcalendar definition, how to retrieve the month currently displayed.     The problem this time is to get the median of three values (easy) I did this: (define (med x y z) (car(cdr(x y z))) and it was accepted but when testing it: (med 3 4 5) I get this error: Error: attempt to call a non-procedure (2 3 4) And when entering letters instead of number i get: (md x y z) Error: undefined varia y (package user) Using something besides x y z I get: (md d l m) Error: undefined variable d (package user) the question was deleted dont know how anyway write a function that return the median of 3 values Sorry for editing the question I got that I should put the values in order first not just a sill car and cdr thing so I did so 33> (define (med x y z) (if(and( (<x y) (<y z) y if(and( (<y x) (<x z) x z))))) Warning: invalid expression (if (and< (<x y) (<y z) y if (and ((<y x) (<x z) x z)))) but as u see Im getting a warning so what is wronge ?

  • How can I skip the current item and the next in a Python loop?

    This might be a really dumb question, however I've looked around online, etc. And have not seen a solid answer. Is there a simple way to do something like this? lines = open('something.txt', 'r').readlines() for line in lines: if line == '!': # force iteration forward twice line.next().next() <etc> It's easy to do in C++; just increment the iterator an extra time. Is there an easy way to do that in Python? I would just like to point, out the main purpose of this question is not about "reading files and such" and skipping things. I was more looking for C++ iterator style iteration. Also the new title is kinda dumb, and i dont really think it reflects the nature of my question.

  • Get graphics information from font file. How to develop font parser similar to PDFView's font parser

    Hi, I am trying to convert text into graphics using c#. My input is character string and output is bitmap with the input text. After lot of search I found some ways to do it, I found some techiques which uses this kind of techinque. For Example While creating Captcha, we have to print the character in the bitmap. But for that I should have the font installed in my windows. I can not perform such operation without installing the font. I have .ttf file with me but I dont want to install it because my work for that font is temporary only. Is there any way where I can extract out the Font's graphical information by providing the Character? I have also found font parser code http://swinglabs.java.sun.com/hudson/job/PDFRenderer%20Weekly%20Build/javadoc/com/sun/pdfview/font/package-summary.html Can anyone please provide me how to develpo similar thing using c#.Net?     I have 3 models User has_many :quetions has_many :corrections end Question has_one :correction belongs_to :user end Correction belongs_to :user belongs_to :question So if user Bob asks a question then user Terry can check it and if its wrong offer a correction. Lets stay with bob and assume he as kindly corrected 5 other users, i.e and lets assume he has been lucky to get 3 corrections from other users. I want to be able to do something like this @bob.corrections_offered = 5 correction objects @bob.corrections_received = 3 correction objects the first one is easy as its really just @bob.corrections under the hood. But i dont know how to implement the latter one. Can anyone help?

    Hi, I have a jasper report with 4 subreports in the detail band of the master report. If data is available for first subreport, it starts displaying from page 1 with the header of the subreport. When second subreport starts printing data, it prints only header in page 1 and the page breaks and in the page 2, it prints header again n data for that. I dont want the header of the second subreport to be printed in page1. It should start print in the page 2. How to solve this..? How could i page break...? its urgent.Please help.   • "Could not load file or assembly" error on trying to access auxillary assemblies from COM

    We have the project structure as follows: COMExposedCCW.dll -refers- BusinessLayer.dll -refers- Utils.dll COMExposedCCW.dll -refers- Utils.dll The COMExposedCCW.dll has been registered for COM interop. From the COM application{Excel} we can successfully create the CCW object and access its properties, but when we try to invoke methods that refer to the Business/Utils layer, it throws an exception that the file or assembly{Business/Utils} could not be found. The Business/Utils dlls are present in the same folder as the CCW. On copying the Business/Utils to the COM application directory it works fine. I've tried the following: Set "HintPath/" in the CCW project I dont want to dynamically load the assemblies using Reflection {there should be a more elegant solution} Thanks in advance.

    I have a stylistic question about the choice of background thread implementation I should use on a windows form app. Currently I have a BackgroundWorker on a form that has an infinite (while(true)) loop. In this loop I use WaitHandle.WaitAny to keep the thread snoozing until something of interest happens. One of the event handles I wait on is a "stopthread" event so that I can break out of the loop. This event is signaled when from my overridden Form.Dispose(). I read somewhere that BackgroundWorker is really intended for operations that you dont want to tie up the UI with and have an finite end - like downloading a file, or processing a sequence of items. In this case the "end" is unknown and only when the window is closed. Therefore would it be more appropriate for me to use a background Thread instead of BackgroundWorker for this purpose?

  • In ASP.NET, Can I Delete a row in GridView while the primary key of that table is not loaded into the gridview?

    Hi, I have a table with primary key whose importance is technically high and none business wise. So, when I display the table data to user, I would like not to show him the primary key. Even if I load it in sqldatasource and dont show (I did this by removing the cloumn in "Columns" tag of GridView), I am not able to update or delete row using the built-in UpdateCommand & DeleteCommand. I have created the delete paramters but it does nothing when I hit the delete button. How to get around it? Thanks R S Reddy

    This should be simple but I can't figure it out <?php $testid = 240; $curid = 251; $cal = $curid - $testid; echo $cal; ?> I want to determine the numbers in between two other numbers so for this example it detects there are 11 numbers in between the $testid and $curid, but i dont need it to do that. I need it to literally figure the numbers in between $curid - $testid which in this example would be 241, 242, 243... all the way to 251 then i need to create a loop with those numbers and do a query below with each one $cal = $curid - $testid; mysql_query("SELECT * FROM wall WHERE id='".$cal."'") // and for each number mysql should out put each data field with those numbers.     Hello everyone, description 1.lines are originating from origin(0,0,0). 2.lines are at some random angle to the Normal of Top face of teh cube. 3.if the lines are intersecting cube , calculate the intersection point. 4.mainly i wan to know how much distance ,line traveled inside the cube. I dont know what to put as 4th and 5th parameters. As Example: I am trying to run this kind of Select telnumber from numbers n where Cast(n.telnumber AS INT) between 1234 and 9999 I got this error: "Character to numeric conversion error" If I run this query like this: Select telnumber from numbers n where n.telnumber between '1234' and '9999' it brings a resultset but not in the range that I defined. 130987 130710 130723 How can I convert telnumber to a numeric value and use it in "between" 1234 and 9999 range Thanks in advance.

    I'm trying to create a Rubik's Cube in Flash & Papervision and i'm really stuck here. I'm up to the point where i can rotate any plane of cubes once, but after that...it's messed up because all local coordinate systems are messy. I dont really know where to go from here, can anybody give any advice on what do do? I'm not looking for 'read about transformation matrices', i know i should (and i am doing that), but i'm not really sure what to look for. My idea is that, after each rotation, i should fix each coordinate system of each cube again, but i have no idea how.     Hello, i own a web server running windows (WAMP). I want to know the best way to implement a Rest API (a very simple one) in order to let a user do something. Diagram flow: I have programming skills, in fact, i developed some time ago a web server in VB6 who process the querys and when it find the command (http:/serverIP/webform.php?cmd=run&item=any) it do something, but know i really want to develop a solution using the WAMP server. Some people consider the solution of executing a exe when a command is detected a bad solution for security issues, but this specific proyect i have is for the use of only some people (trusted people) who dont have intentions of hacking the server. So, what do you think? Remember: Its not a public API, its for some people and some programs who will use the API Its a very simple one, only one command using POST or GET. Thanks

  • Rails Beta3 & PaperClip & Passenger Bundler::PathError

    So I'm going around in circles with this - I'm using a fork of the Paperclip Rails gem to get it to work with Rails3. Works fine on my OSX box with Passenger. But on my server (CentOS 5) I get this this error: git://github.com/lmumar/paperclip.git (at rails3) is not checked out. Please runbundle install(Bundler::PathError)Blockquote I tried Bundle Pack, but that doesnt pack gems from github. I read a post about setting the parh to the BUNDLE_HOME in my application.rb file which I tried: ENV['BUNDLER_HOME']="~/.bundle/ruby/1.8/bundler/gems/" But that doesnt work. Any ideas anyone? I dont know what else to do and have no idea how to debug or trace the problem further :( Passenger version 2.2.11. thanks.

The code below is working however it loads the family into revit, and then you have to manually drag it from the familys tree or insert using the relevant family tool. Document document = commandData.Application.ActiveDocument; document.LoadFamilySymbol(fileName, name, out gotSymbol); How do i get it to the point where it is asking the user where they want it placed? (similar to when you click "load into project" when you are editing a family) so they dont have to drag it from the familys tree
