• Visual studio asp.net code behind file not showing errors

  Hi, I am developing a web application in which I am suddenly facing an issue. I have a webpage which contains many controls, one of the control is JQuery color picker. Now, I am upgrading my system with telerik controls. As part of this process, I replaced textbox(txtcolor) with radcolorpicker with a different id(colorPicker). Suddenly, my code behind file is not throwing any errors like 'unable to find txtColor'. It is running successfully without build errors. But, when I open the page, system is throwing runtime exception(txtColor not found) which is correct. I tried to change other controls with asp.net controls, still the problem persists. So, I dont think it is anything to do with telerik. Could you please let me know how can fix this issue?? Thanks, Mahesh

  I have a blog hosted on blogspot dot com. In that blog, i want to put some data like Google search string or etc automatically. I want it to be done in this way: Just put a code (server side scripting) linking to a text file or PHP file, and the code will extract the text and output in my blogspot blog. What i DONT want is to use javascript. Beacause, if i use javascript then the output will be seen only in the users screen. I want the output to be seen by Google Bot too. When the page loads, every image on the screen disapears. but when I go to another page and click back button on the browser and goto previous page images appear. What should I? • Stop a postback in javascript

  hello, i have an ASP webform with a JQuery Thickbox, i have an image that opens the thickbox when user click. once open the thickbox it shows me a grid with several rows and a button to select one and after the user select the record it returns to the main page the recordselected and cause a __doPostBack() BUT! sometimes in IE6 it stay loading the postback and never ends i have to refresh the page and when it refresh it shows everything fine. but i dont want the postback stay loading AND it does not happend always. i have to call a __doPostBack because i need to find info related to the selected record. thanks.

• Do you know a good and efficient FFT?

  Hi, I am trying to find a very fast and efficient Fourier transform (FFT). Does anyone know of any good ones. I need to run it on the iPhone so it must not be intensive. Instead, maybe you know of one that is wavelet like, i need frequency resolution but only a narrow band (vocal audio range up to 10khz max...even 10Khz might be too high). Im thinking also of truncating this FFT to keep the frequency resolution while eliminating the unwanted frequency band. This is for an iphone ...I have taken a look at the FFT in Aurio touch but it seems this is an int FFT but my app uses floats.....would it give a big performance increase to try and adapt program to an int FFT or not(which i really dont feel like doing...plus aurio touch uses a radix 2 FFT which is not that great).

  Hello everyone, I am designing a chat applet. In this, a user will append his name to the beginning of the message that he sends to the other user. In the window of other user, I want to retrieve the appended user name from that string. How do I do that? The message sent by the user is as follows : final_msg = user_name + ": " + user_message Hence I want to know how to retrieve the user_name string only. Is there a function that can retrieve a substring upto the first ":"? I dont want to use final_msg.split(":"), because there is a possiblity that the user_message contains ":", which will then give me an array of strings.

  Hi, I'm looking for a regex or a way to format the NumberValidator so that only decimal places are allowed. The domain="real" allows you to put integer values, but I need to force the user to but in 2.0 if they want an integer. This is because they pass through a Castor mapping file, it complains if it gets an integer when it expects a decimal. I dont want to restrict the number of decimal places, just insist that there must be a point, and a number after it. Any help would be much appreciated.

  I just noticed that if you give a html button a fixed width, the text inside the button is never wrapped. I've tried it with word-wrap, but that cuts of the word even though there are spaces available to wrap on.   Hi All, Is there a way to update the PDB file with the new source location ? I have a project which links to some libraries which are built on another machine and are debug build with the PDB file. I cannot put a breakpoint in the files which are compiled in the libs. These libs take more than 4 hours to build so I dont want to buid them on my machine.   Hi, I'm writing an NPAPI plugin. In every webpage that the browser goes to, I inject my plugin with an object tag. Something like: <object id="myplugin" type="plugin-mime-type" > In some pages where i dont want it, after injection i remove it by finding the element using the id and doing a document.removeChild. From my logging i found that in firefox and opera, doing this automatically calls the plugin destroy method NPP_Destroy (NPAPI). But in chrome, it doesnt seem to call it. Is there any special way that i should remove a plugin in chrome that i am missing?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

There are many plugins that support degrading the javascript to browsers that dont have javascript enabled and techniques to support this. What are peoples thoughts on javascript support, we build applications rather than just websites and are looking to just support javascript enabled browsers as a pre-requisite assuming that most people or companies have javascript enabled. Do you find most people have javascript? do you monitor the percentage of javascript/non-javascript browsers (I guess this can be done with website stats) and what are the numbers regarding this?

  I have an irregular data, x dimension - 384, y dimension - 256 and z dimension 64. Now these coordinates are stored in 3 separate binary files and i have a data file having a data value for these points. I want to know, how can i represent such data to be easily visualized in vtk. Till now we were using AVS which has fld files, which can read such data easily. I dont know how to do it in vtk. Would appreciate any pointers in this direction.

  we have been using ThreadLocal so far to carry some data so as to not clutter the API. However below are some of issues of using thread local that which I dont like 1) over the years the data items being carried in thread local has increased 2) Since we started using threads (for some light weight processing), we have also migrating these data to the threads in the pool and copying them back again I am thinking of using an in memory DB for these (we doesnt want to add this to the API). I wondering if this approach is good. What r the pros and cons. thx in advance.

I dont understand how it works:http://code.google.com/apis/accounts/docs/OpenID.html#Samples If i do that 2nd request by entering the data as one url with params into browser i get back XML file. Should i not get back sample response nr3? Can somebody explain this to me? The problem is, that im trying to sort through some third party app that uses google openid authentication and its not recieving authenticated users e-mail back, like in sample response 3.
