Example XML file <purchases> <item id = "1" customer_id = "5"> </item> <item id = "2" customer_id = "5"> </item> <item id = "7" customer_id = "4"> </item> </purchases> Desired HTML Output: <table> <tr><th>Customer ID</th><th>Number of Items Purchased</th></tr> <tr><td>5</td><td>2</td></tr> <tr><td>4</td><td>1</td></tr> </table> Customer with id number 5 has bought 2 items. Customer with id number 4 has bought 1 item.

  • How do I select every 6th element from a list (using Linq)

    Hi, I've got a list of 'double' values. I need to select every 6th record. It's a list of coordinates, where I need to get the minimum and maximum value of every 6th value. List of coordinates (sample): [2.1, 4.3, 1.0, 7.1, 10.6, 39.23, 0.5, ... ] with hundrets of coordinates. Result should look like: [x_min, y_min, z_min, x_max, y_max, z_max] with exactly 6 coordinates. Following code works, but it takes to long to iterate over all coordinates. I'd like to use Linq instead (maybe faster?) for (int i = 0; i < 6; i++) { List<double> coordinateRange = new List<double>(); for (int j = i; j < allCoordinates.Count(); j = j + 6) coordinateRange.Add(allCoordinates[j]); if (i < 3) boundingBox.Add(coordinateRange.Min()); else boundingBox.Add(coordinateRange.Max()); } Any suggestions?     What I want to do is add and remove list items. I have got it to add new items to the list and I can remove existing ones but not the ones that have been added. It seem like it would work but it doesn't. Any help would be appreciated!   • New line (in the code) after <li> element breaking layout

    Weirdly, I've never come across this issue before, but I've just started making a site and the top navigation isn't playing nicely. I want a small amount of white space between each menu item, but when I have new lines between my <li> elements and my <a> elements in my IDE (Netbeans), the white space disappears, yet it looks fine if I have <li><a></a></li> all on the same line. I was always under the impression html ignored white space in the code. I've checked for any weird characters causing problems in other text editors and can't find anything. Here's the code...   • Binding an Element to a Control Property (string)

    so, i've found a way to bind a label to a property on current Control i give it a name: <UserControl x:Class="WpfGridtest.GridControl" x:Name="GridControlControl1"> and than bind to property of this control: <Label Content="{Binding ElementName=GridControlControl1, Path=Filter}"></Label> I can see the default value i put in that property. I am guessing that this isn't working because i am binding to String property which doesn't implement INotifyPropertyChanged?? is there some other type i should be using for this property instead of String auto notify my label of changes, or am i going about this the wrong way?

  • Recover deleted folder form bookmarks bar?

    I googled for this, but didn't find an answer. I removed a folder in Google Chrome's Bookmarks bar. Chrome says nothing when doing this, and I assumed it wouldn't actually delete the data from the Bookmarks manager, just the folder in the Bookmarks bar. Turns out I was wrong, and now I lost hundred's of URLs. I closed and restarted Chrome since then, so data is apparently no longer on disk. Since Google Sync is on by default, it says I have "536 bookmarks", I installed Chrome on another computer, logged on to Google... but the folder is still gone. I can't believe Chrome doesn't prompt the user with an obvious message for something that important. Is there somehow a way to recover a folder removed from the Bookmarks bar? Thank you. Edit: Amazingly, Chrome doesn't 1) provide a way to remove an item from the Bookmarks bar without also deleting it from the Bookmarks list, and 2) doesn't even warn the user of the consequences when doing so! The only way to recover data is: if you haven't closed the browser yet, make a backup of the Bookmarks file, close the browser, replace the now-leaner Bookmarks file with the previous version, and restart Chrome if you have closed it, recover the file from your backup. You did backup that file, right? ;-)

    I would like to slice random letters from a string. Given s="howdy" I would like to pick elements from 's' without replacement but keep the index number. For example >>> random.sample(s,len(s)) ['w', 'h', 'o', 'd', 'y'] is close to what I want, but I would actually prefer something like [('w',2), ('h',0), ('o',1), ('d',3), ('y',4)] with letter-index pairs. This is important because the same letter appears in 's' more than once. ie) "letter" where 't' appears twice but I need to distinguish the first 't' from the 'second'. Ideally I actually only need to pick letters as I need them but scrambling and calculating all the letters in a list (as shown above) is ok.

    We have a web server hosted out of our office, and it works fine when people access the site from outside the office. The problem is that when people are inside the office and go to the website (www.example.com) it's very slow, as it goes out over the internet and comes back in. Or LAN is Windows with Active Directory and our web server is CentOS with its own internet connection. How can I set when users in my office want see website opens it from local network instead of going out of one internet connection and back in through the other?

But this is not working on this case because the routes don't exists without the shop_id parameter, and I don't know how to say to the form_for something like this: <% form_for [:backshop, @item], :shop_id => @shop do |f| %> Because it tries to use the @item like the :shop_id parameter.   • Please help me get my content div to get an auto height from absolutely positioned element

    I need some help with a CSS layout. It is set up like this: +--------------------+ | | | header | |-| |--------------| | |nav| content | | | | | | | | | | | | | | footer | +--------------------+ So, the nav is supposed to be floating above all the main page content. That's why I have it set to be absolutely positioned. The issue is that the nav items are dynamic, without a set height. Right now, the nav expands past the content. How can I fix it so that the content will have an auto height based off the nav? Thanks in advance.
