• simple webservice code ?

  hi, i write a simple webservice code in asp.net when i build the service and run the service it is working fine. when i try to access the webservice it is giving some problem , problem means i am not getting that method (webservice method). After completing writing the webserivce i take a asp.net page (.aspx) and in solution explorer i add a webservices and it is added successfully. but when i adding namespace it is not getting the service name ( i not able to add the namespace of websercice

  As both hyphen (-) and underscore (_) are valid characters in CSS and HTML identifiers, what are the advantages and disadvantages using one or the other? I prefer writing CSS class names with hyphens (e.g. field-text) and underscores for IDs (e.g. featured_content). Is there a best practice or it's only the matter of taste?

  I'm writing a program for both Delphi and Lazarus/FreePascal, so I can also reach customers using Linux or Mac OS X. Is there a cross-platform tool that works in both environments too, so I can add multiple languages? I tried GNU Gettext for Delphi and C++ Builder, but it does not compile in Lazarus for Mac OS X. Is there anything comparable?

• Any suggestions for testing extjs code in a browser, preferably with selenium?

  We've been using selenium with great success to handle high-level website testing (in addition to extensive python doctests at a module level). However now we're using extjs for a lot of pages and its proving difficult to incorporate Selenium tests for the complex components like grids. Has anyone had success writing automated tests for extjs-based web pages? Lots of googling finds people with similar problems, but few answers. Thanks!

I am actually in process of writing a Pseudo distributed one using python and multiprocessing module and thus wanted to know if someone else has also tried implementing it.   Note: I know very little about the GCC toolchain, so this question may not make much sense. Since GCC includes an Ada front end, and it can emit ARM, and devKitPro is based on GCC, is it possible to use Ada instead of C/C++ for writing code on the DS? Edit: It seems that the target that devKitARM uses is arm-eabi.

• Weird Java Math ,10 ^ 1 = 11?

  For an exercise I was writing a loop that turns a string into an integer without using the built in functions by multiplying each individual value by its numerical position. 75 would be 7*(10 ^ 1) + 5*(10 ^ 0), for example. However, for some reason (10 ^ 1) keeps coming back as 11. Is there some mistake I have made or an explanation for this?

• ActionScript black color value is NaN

  i'm trying to determine if a color has been supplied as an optional argument to a function. in order to determine this, i'm simply writing if(color){...} and supplying NaN if i don't want there to be a color. however, it seems that the color black (0x000000) also equates to NaN. how can i determine if a supplied color number argument is present and black if 0x000000 is passed as the argument?

• Problem with GetDefaultPrinter() over a VPN c++

  I am writing an application that gets its dimensions from the paper ratio of the default printer of the local computer. This all works well unless the default printer is over a VPN. When this is the case, calling GetDefaultPrinter() takes too long. I need to find a way to put a time constraint on GetDefaultPrinter() and if it exceeds that constraint, break out of the function.   I use a sheet with 3 NSTextFields and a Cancel- and OK-Button to edit the attributes of a Core Data Entity. The text entered in the NSTextFields is only updated in the Core Data Entity if i press Tab or Return after writing in the NSTextField or if i focus another NSTextField with the mouse. If i just enter text in an NSTextField and press the OK-Button the entered text is lost. Is there some attribute i can set in Interface Builder to change this NSTextField behaviour?

  If I have two interfaces , both quite different in their purposes , but with same method signature , how do I make a class implement both without being forced to write a single method that serves for the both the interfaces and writing some convoluted logic in the method implementation that checks for which type of object the call is being made and invoke proper code ? In C# , this is overcome by what is called as explicit interface implementation. Is there any equivalent way in Java ?

  Hi i am writing a HTML parser for helping with some job duties, I can enter the site using IE explorer. but using csharp code i get an error i have tried using client.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultNetworkCredentials; client.Proxy.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials; i don't get the requested page, but an error page. if i can view page in explorer there must be a way to retrieve its html in C# (note that same page in other browsers requires authintication - not in IE) appreciate the help
