    Hey guys Just wondering if anyone has any idea how you can determine how many bytes of a request have been read/received by the server... In other words how do I stream http request... In that, users are uploading files and I want to report on a perotic basis how many bytes have been read/received so far. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how I might do this...   • How to extend the Eclipse Java Editor to add coloured overlays

    I have an idea for an Eclipse plugin which I've been toying with. I need to be able to extend the Eclipse Java Editor component and add coloured overlays to the code based on pluggable external metrics. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any kind of syntax highlighting extension point. Does anyone know how I might be able to extend the exisitng eclipse Java Editor to add custom highlighting rules? Bear in mind I'm new to Eclipse plugin programming so please give as much detail as possible.

  • Formatting in a UITextView

    hi all , im having problems with formatting for a UITextView. my app pulls in XML, saves some of it to a string , and then displays the text in a UITextView. it understands if you put a return in there, and it starts a new line. but i want to put paragraphs in there, any idea how i can pass that information without doing multiple UITextViews Thanks :)

  • sudo taking long time

    On a Ubuntu 9 64bit Linux machine, sudo takes longer time to start. "sudo echo hi" takes 2-3 minutes. strace on sudo tells poll("/etc/pam.d/system-auth", POLLIN) timesout after 5 seconds and there are multiple calls(may be a loop) to same system call (which causes 2-3min delay). Any idea why sudo has to wait for /etc/pam.d/system-auth? Any tunable to make sudo to timeout faster? Thanks Samuel

  • iPhone error while importing .app into iTunes

    Hi guys, My application tester has a problem while importing .mobileprovision file into iTunes. As I don't have the device I'm not able to check things out, here is the error message: The provisioning profile "embedded.mobileprovision" could not be imported because an unknown error occurred (0xE800801A).   • Partitioning mySQL tables that has foreign keys?

    Hi! What would be an appropriate way to do this, since mySQL obviously doesnt enjoy this. To leave either partitioning or the foreign keys out from the database design would not seem like a good idea to me. I'll guess that there is a workaround for this? I'm aware that some might suggest using polymorphism but I'm using a hierarchy of small message classes so that really wouldn't work in my csae.

  • Live Folder: browser intent error

    I'm trying to make a Live Folder with URIs. The intent I set to the Live Folder items is an Intent{Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse(url)}. I have verified url is indeed http://www.google.com (for testing purposes). But when I click the item in the live folder I get an error message: "Application is not installed on your phone." I guess I'm missing something, but I have no idea how to make the browser launch.

    Hi there, Time to ask an odd question. window.print(); Prints only one page of 2 pages in IE8 & IE7 even the same prints both pages in FF. Now if I cancel the print dialog and just go to File - Print I get both pages in both IE & FF. window.print(); is included in ONLOAD Any idea why? Thanks Babak
