• $_POST goes empty after adding a new input type "file"

  Hi, I'm not finding a way to understand and fix this and I've done a lot. I've got a script, wish is a simple form, that sends a file trough POST. The second file, process the info. By default, I give to the user a few fields, one of them being a input field of type "file" and there's also, a few "hidden" one's, that gives me values to work with on POST. I found that, when adding a new input of type "file", the $_POST returns array 0, even $_FILES returns nothing. I have no idea how to fix this, and it works just fine when keeping the default input box of type "file". This is the form http://pastie.org/872488 This only happens when: Exists! var_dump( $_POST ), or $_FILES, print_r(), etc Returns nothing. I've tryed to create a array on the input of type "files", like img_p_child[], but nothing. How to solve this ? Thanks for taking your time!

  I just upgraded R and rgl to the following versions. Now, rgl.snapshot() no longer works. It worked in previous versions. Is there a way around this? • WPF - Listbox bound to collection acts as one item

  Hi, I have a listbox with the ItemsControl binding the ItemsSource to a readonly collection of strings. The ItemTemplate then declares the DataTemplate as a checkbox where its content is that of the name of the particular item in the collection and IsChecked bound to a property to determine whether or not the item is selected (it's just a listbox of checkboxes) This works fine with one exception - MouseOver the ListBox and it acts as if the collection of Strings is a single item; the whole box acts as if selected. This wouldn't be as much of a problem were it not for this also affecting the scrollbars where they won't get enabled - presumably because it considers the one item as being visible on the screen even though it in actual facts is x+ with only x-y showing on the screen. How do I get the listbox to act as if each individual string is its own item. I assume it acts this way because I declared a datatemplate in order to get a listbox of checkboxes?? Any help would be much appreciated!

  I am building custom pipeline components for receive pipelines in BizTalk Server (2006 and 2009). I am building the components in a streaming fashion. My question: for any single inbound message, if I have a disassembling component, when I create n messages from a single inbound message, will the message agent always use a single thread when reading the (body) streams and persisting the messages to the message box? I would think so, but confirmation would be helpful. Say if I create five messages in the disassembler, will any of these messages be persisted sequentially from the same thread? Or could these messages be processed in parallel?

• Implementing Multitasking on an iPhone/iOS4 Web App

  I am looking to build a web app that implements background audio and fast app switching. These features work out of the box, when run as regular Safari web pages, but as soon as you add the web-app-capable tag, and try to run in full screen mode, this functionality breaks. I did some testing and even the most basic web app will reload every time when you switch back to it. And seeing as it's a web app, we can't exactly implement the multitasking API. Has anyone found a work around? This isn't a deal-breaker, as you can just avoid full screen mode, but then you also lose the ability to use your own icon in the app switch tray. Perhaps this explains a lack of full screen mode in YouTube's new web app....

• View artifacts leaking into the model of MVC

  In an ASP.NET MVC application (which has very little chance of having its view technology ported to something non-HTML, but whose functional requirements evolve weekly,) how much HTML should ideally be allowed to be directly represented in the Model? I might come across as a design bigot for this, but I regard it as bad practice to allow any view constructs to "leak" into the model in an MVC application (and vice versa). For example, a Model that represents an item you're about to purchase should know nothing about the HTML check box that says "add giftwrap/message", nor should it know about any HTML drop down lists for payment card types. Conversely the View shouldn't be doing work like figuring out button text by translating keys into values (by looking in resource files.)

• Navigating multiples files vi editor

  According to http://www.lagmonster.org/docs/vi2.html the command :p would make vi go to the previous file. Unfortunately, this isn't working for me. However :n works and goes to the next page. What should I use to go to the previous file? For :p I get the message, Hit Return to continue and it stays in the same page. Thanks. Edit: I am sshing to an AIX box and using the vi in Ksh if that helps.

• Separation of static and dynamic content in Java EE applications

  We work with IBM products and we typically use IBM Http Servers (read Apache) as a reverse proxy for our application servers. For performance reasons we serve static content (.gif, .jpg, .css, .html etc.) from our http servers, to ease the burden a bit from the application server. So far, we have to distribute files to http server and configure it manually (writing custom scripts at best.) The problem is the effort needed to keep everything in synch, especially when you need to update the app. Does any Java EE product support this “out of the box”? Is there a way to have application server do this automatically, like in cluster configuration for example, where master node is in charge of distributing the application to other nodes and for keeping everything in synch.

• iPhone SDK: Do I need to ask user for permissions to use GPS?

  In my iPhone application I need to use GPS (CoreLocation to be exact) to get current position of the device. I know that most (if not all) applications using GPS have a popup implemented asking the user to allow GPS access. Is that done automatically by the iPhone SDK or should I implement such functionality myself? I've tried to run my app on iPhone Simulator and it didn't ask for permissions at all so I'm wondering if the same thing will happen on the actual phone. And if I implement that itself and the SKD provides that out-of-the-box then I'll have two confirmation in my app which I don't want.

  How should I implement items that are normalized in the Database, in Object Oriented classes? In the database I have a big table of items and a smaller of groups. Each item belong to one group. It should also be easy to do calculations with a bunch of items. The group information like VAT are needed for the calculations. I will write an Item class, but do I need a Group class? and if I need it, should I keep them in a global location or how do I access it when I need it for Item-calculations? Is there any design pattern for this case?

• how to insert the correct activex object in a MFC dialog

  More exactly, the web browser control. In a WM6 dialog based MFC project. This is driving me nuts. Mr Google does not know a thing on this matter. I have tried embedding the "Microsoft Webbrowser Control" in my dialog box but at runtime I get some class not register error. I have heard that this happens because "Microsoft Webbrowser Control" is the windows desktop control, not the windows mobile one. Otherwise, I find it quite hard to believe that this control is really not registered even on the emulator (if it really wasn't registered, PIE would not start). Anybody used the webbrowser engine in a WM(6) MFC applications ? Even a CLSID would help... Thank you

  I use Yahoo UI with Grails (so grailsui) and I try to upload a file with Ajax and get a JSON response from the server : The response is correctly returned by my controller but a popup is displayed to save the file but it's not a file it's a JSON result. My Yahoo Code is : callback = { success: function(o){alert('success');}, failure: function(o){alert('failure');} } YAHOO.util.Connect.asyncRequest('POST', '/my/url', callback); The http response is the JSON result. • Returning NSNull from actionForLayer:forKey

  If I implement the CALayer delegate method actionForLayer:forKey I can return [NSNull null] to force the CALayer to not animate any changes. Unfortunately, [NSNull null] doesn't implement the CAAction delegate and XCode kicks out the following warning: warning: class 'NSNull' does not implement the 'CAAction' protocol Here is the method code: - (id<CAAction>)actionForLayer:(CALayer *)theLayer forKey:(NSString *)theKey { //This disables the animations when moving things around //Also, don't animate the selection box. • Can't send key to window with SendMessage

  I'm writing a C program under Windows that should send an ENTER key to a dialog box to close it automatically. I retrieve the handle to the top level window I'm interested in (by means of EnumDesktopWindows()) and then try to send an ENTER key using SendMessage (note also that closing the window by sending WM_CLOSE works fine). None of the following works: SendMessage( hTargetWindow, WM_CHAR, VK_RETURN, 0 ); SendMessage( hTargetWindow, WM_CHAR, VK_RETURN, 1 ); SendMessage( hTargetWindow, WM_KEYDOWN, VK_RETURN, 1 ); SendMessage( hTargetWindow, WM_KEYUP, VK_RETURN, 1 ); SendMessage( hTargetWindow, WM_KEYDOWN, VK_RETURN, 1 ); SendMessage( hTargetWindow, WM_CHAR, VK_RETURN, 1 ); SendMessage( hTargetWindow, WM_KEYUP, VK_RETURN, 1 ); and so on... • Noob Droid Question regarding random number

  Brand new to droid programming, but would love to learn as much as possible, so I finally got my emulator working correctly, I even got a hello world button to work, I'm attempting to make this button display a random number, I've googled this and came up with this code: Random generator = new Random(); int n = generator.nextInt(n); I fixed the Random function by including some Random java utility. I'm assuming this code above goes in the .java file of the project, so my button code looks as follows (tested and works): PopUpText.makeText(v.getContext(), "Hello World", PopUpText.LENGTH_LONG).show(); I figured I could replace "Hello World" with n to display the number in the box, however the following error is stopping the compile: The local variable n may not have been initialized Any ideas why this is happening? Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

I know how to use databinding to display a collection of person in a wpf list box and how to modify the listitemtemplate to customize how each person is displayed. Now I'd like to number each person on the list according to the order they appear on the list (which could change as the the items were sorted via name or age in the display).   i have the following html code : <FORM name=frmmail> <input id="dochtmlContent" type="hidden" name="dochtmlContent" value="oldValue"/> <script>document.dochtmlContent="newValue"</script> </FORM> and later on in a javascrip function (which is called upn submit): alert(document.dochtmlContent); document.frmmail.method = "post"; document.frmmail.ENCTYPE = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"; document.frmmail.action = "/myServlet"; document.frmmail.submit(); Basically, I am declaring a hiden variable, changing its value and submitting it. The issue is, while I see an alert box displaying "newValue", when I submit it, my servlet recieves the "oldValue" for the dochtmlContent parameter. Can someone suggest whats wrong here.

Added through the code above. Now my question is: How could I load for example, when I type in an edit box Mike, the rest of the belonging information.(Spain, Madrid,eduardostrata).
