  I have a table that stores a bunch of diagnosis for a single plan. When the users create a new plan I need to copy over all existing diagnosis's as well. • Java Custom exception throw behaves differently between different Projects

  I am attempting to call the following in my code: public void checkParticleLightRestriction(Particle parent) throws LightException { if ( parent == null ) { throw new LightException("quantum-particle-restrict.23", this); } In one Project the exception is thrown and the effect is similar to calling "return" whereby I am returned back to the point immediately succeeding where this method was called. However in another Project I get thrown completed out of the current package and to a point way prior to the point preceeding this method. It likes instead of being kicked out of a bar I am being deported all the way out of the country. My option are the wrap the throw in a try / catch but I am wondering why this difference in behaviour beween the 2 projects ?

  Hello all, This is a question about generic c++ event driven applications design. Lets assume that we have two threads, a "Dispatcher" (or "Engine"...) and a "Listener" (or "Client"...). Let's assume that I write the Dispatcher code, and release it as a library. I also write the Listener interface, of course. When the Dispatcher executes (after Listener registration) listenerInstance.onSomeEvent(); the event handling code will actually be executed by the Dispatcher thread, so if the person that implements the Listener writes something like void Listener::onSomeEvent() { while(true) ; } The Dispatcher will stuck forever. But when I tried adding the try..catch it didn't like my input saying it cannot be resolved. Every time I define a new enum and write std::stringstream stream; stream << myenum1; stream >> myenum2; the compiler complains that the operators << and are not defined. Do you know a way to tell the compiler to treat enums as plain int's? What makes the problem harder is that, actually, the serialization is inside a template. I created another UIViewController Class, with xib and added it as a subView to the current view. It should appear on 1st click and disappear on the 2nd click.
