• question about working with System.Drawing.Graphics

  hi all. i have a System.Drawing.Point[] filled with some System.Drawing.Point's. so when i want to draw this points as a polygon in a System.Windows.Form instance , the final drawn polygon is not all in the screen or sometimes is very small (in screen shown as 2-3 pixel). i wonder if there is some Library that using that i can just send Point[] to that and thatself scales and ... points and draws polygon manner that all points shown in screen and they are scaled to fit the screen (i mean small objects that shown as 2-3 pixel scale up to fit entire screen); thaks all and sorry for my bad english...

  Since there are so many valid characters for email addresses, are there any valid email addresses that can in themselves be XSS attacks or SQL injections? I couldn't find any information on this on the web. The local-part of the e-mail address may use any of these ASCII characters: Uppercase and lowercase English letters (a–z, A–Z) Digits 0 to 9 Characters ! # $ % & ' * + - / = ? ^ _ ` { | } ~ Character . (dot, period, full stop) provided that it is not the last character, and provided also that it does not appear two or more times consecutively (e.g. [email protected]). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-mail_address#RFC_specification I'm not asking how to prevent these attacks (I'm already using parametrized queries and HTML purifier), this is more a proof-of-concept. The first thing that came to mind was 'OR [email protected], except that spaces are not allowed. Do all SQL injections require spaces?

• word ladder in python

  I'm trying to create a word ladder program in python. I'd like to generate words that are similar to a given word. In c++ or java, I would go through each valid index in the original string, and replace it with each letter in the english alphabet, and see if the result is a valid word. for example (pseudocode) for (int i = 0; i < word.length(); i++) { for (every character c in the alphabet) { change the letter of word at index i to be c. if the result is a valid word, store it in a list of similar words } } . However, this doesn't seem like a very "python" way of doing things. How would I approach this problem in python?

• All site interaction through a single page

  Hi there I have an idea for a site where there would be no refreshing and all interactions take place via AJAX. The page would load with central space, where all interaction would take place. If a user clicked on a link, the page would request it via AJAX and replace the rectangle's content with the link content. The idea is effectively an AJAX implemented iframe. Are there any disadvantages with this approach? Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on the idea? • What Kind of Knowledge is Necessary For a Permon Who Does Not Have IT Background? [closed]

  One of my colleagues joined our company, which by the way is a internet company, months ago as an on-line marketing specialist. He majored English in his college and has never deeply touched IT before. He says that to be a good on-line marketing specialist he needs to lean some basic IT skills in order to deliver superb work. According to him, things like Search Engine Optimization, monitoring competitors' web sites, design some functionality on web site and so on require IT entree-level knowledge. And he asks me what kind knowledge is helpful for him to do his job. I am stunted by his question. It is easy enough to answer, things like HTML, CSS, even Photo-shop are required in some job descriptions. Also, I believe some basic understanding of dynamic web site, static web site is helpful to him. On the other hand, as a techie I still feel my answer is awkward. What is your opinion on this? Always lot of thanks to you guys on SO.

• How to do GUI for bash scripts?

  I want to do some graphic dialogs for my script but don't know how. I hear something about GTK-Server or something like that. If someone know how to link bash with tcl/tk I also be satisfied. Please do not post something like "change to C++" because my project must be a script in BASH, there are no other option. Any ideas? P.S. Sorry for bad english! EDIT: Thanks for answers but I don't want "graphics" like colors in console, but windows that shows like hmmmm..... net browser which I can move, minimalize etc. I will test xmessage, but I don't think that will be that what I searching for. EDIT2: And one more thing. I don't want make a simple dialog like yes/no, but some interface like progress bars and buttons, something like game :)

  I've seen answers to both halves of my question, but I can't work out how to marry the two. I have a book model, and a translatedBook model. The translatedBook has a langage set up as model choices in the usual way: LANGUAGES = ( (u'it', u'Italian'), (u'ja', u'Japanese'), (u'es', u'Spanish'), (u'zh-cn', u'Simplified Chinese'), (u'zh-tw', u'Traditional Chinese'), (u'fr', u'French'), (u'el', u'Greek'), (u'ar', u'Arabic'), (u'bg', u'Bulgarian'), (u'bn', u'Bengali'), etc I know that to get "Italian" I have to do translatedBook.get_language_display on a Book object. But how do I get a list of distinct languages in their long format? I've tried: lang_avail = TargetText.objects.values('language').distinct().order_by('language') lang_avail = TargetText.objects.distinct().order_by('language').values('language'). lang_avail = TargetText.objects.all().distinct('language').order_by('language') but I can't seem to get what I want - which is a list like: "English, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish" The final lang_avail listed above didn't return the list of 5, it returned the list of 355 (ie, # of books) with multiple repeats....

• Doctrine: Relating a model to itself using a link table, like "This event is related to to the following other events"

  So in English, the relationship would sound like "This event is related to to the following other events". My first instinct is to create an EventEvent model, with a first_event_id field and a second_event_id field. Then I would define the following two relationships in the Event model: $this->hasMany('Event as FirstRelatedEvents', array('local' => 'first_event_id', 'foreign' => 'second_event_id', 'refClass' => 'EventEvent')); $this->hasMany('Event as SecondRelatedEvents', array('local' => 'second_event_id', 'foreign' => 'first_event_id', 'refClass' => 'EventEvent')); But I would rather not have to use two relationships on the Event model. Is there a better way to do this?

  Dear Guys I am somehow newbie and sometimes guru , but at this moment i don't have enough time to research My nightmare is , my boss ask me to create an interactive floor ( he just saw in an exhibition ) , he ask me to create one of them instead of buying , i am an actionscript crawler and developer with some skills in java and c# programming , i just made some track motion with a simple web cam , and this idea came to my mind if i can use an infrared or thermographic camera instead of simple camera so i can get better positioning if camera place at top of floor ! Now i just came here to ask you guys is there any resource , tip , help i can know before getting into this deal !? is there any lib or api out to deal with this ?!   Hello, We are currently working with Flex creating a web application. We are having trouble taking Arabic text from the user and displaying correctly (like in a chat feature). While presumably Flash 10 will solve this problem, we don't want to force our users to upgrade. Flash flips the order of the sentence's words. so if I wrote something like "Hello World" in the text field, it will appear as "World Hello" in the chat area. Is there a standard way to work with Right to Left languages in Flash? *We currently flip the order of the words with a function, but it things get messed up when using English or special characters in the chat like :) or :D *

• illegal charcters in facebook graph api

  i was trying to get how many facebook likes an url got, through facebook graph api. to get the likes i need to get the content from this url: http://graph.facebook.com/?id=URL for example, try to get into this url: "graph.facebook.com/?id=http://stackoverflow.com" you will see how many "shares" the url got. shares is the sum of shares and likes, so every thing was working good when i was trying to this. the problem start when i use special charcters. when i using the "?" charcter everything work okey. but when i use "&" charcter the url cuts itself. try this: "graph.facebook.com/?id=http://stackoverflow.com?p=blabla&a=fsdf" you can see in this page that the id actullay cut itself when it get to the "&" charcter and the page ends like this: { "id": "http://stackoverflow.com?p=blabla" } sorry for my bad english...

• how to import other schema jars when using the scomp tool

  there is a huge amount of xml schemas for the business, some of them are common types like Money.xsd, Address.xsd, etc, while others are business specific like Customer.xsd, ShippingOrder.xsd, etc. So I decide to compile these schemas into 2 jars, one is commonbeans.jar, the other is businessbeans.jar. I've separated them into different folders. to build the commonbeans.jar is simple, just run "scomp -out commonbeans.jar ....\common*.xsd"; while run "scomp -out businessbeans.jar ....\business*.xsd" is a different story, there are errors say can't find those common types, and run "scomp -out businessbeans.jar ....\business*.xsd ....\business*.xsd" will blindly duplicate all the common types into the businessbeans.jar. so is there any way to link the commonbeans.jar when compile those busimess schemas, maybe something like "scomp -out businessbeans.jar ....\business*.xsd commonbeans.jar". I hope my poor english has expressed my issue!

  Dear all, I have to say sorry for my poor English first... I have a string named s_Result which will be parsed from Internet, the format may be "Distance: 2.8km (about 9 mins)", and there are 4 variables which are f_Distance, m_DistanceUnit, f_timeEst, m_timeEstUnit. My question is, how to parse s_Result and assign 2.8, km, 9, mins into f_Distance, m_distanceUnit, f_timeEst, and m_timeEstUnit respectively using regular expression?? I tried using "\d+(.\d+)?" in RegEx Tester and the result showed 2 matches found, but if use "\\d+(\\.\\d+)?" in Android code, it showed nothing matched!!! Is there any suggestion??   hi, I am kind of stuck on this one. im not a java or oracle guru, so please give detailed answers :) i've a web-service that inserts something into DB. the web-service is hosted on axis. the db is oracle with following properties: NLS_LANGUAGE AMERICAN NLS_TERRITORY AMERICA NLS_CHARACTERSET ZHS16GBK the web-service is hosted on windows server 2008, english version but i have changed the locale of the system to chinese now the data after insert has encoding problem and shows strange characters like ????,exxk?? the jws file has GBK encoding. and the data that is inserted into the DB is hard-coded in the file [we are not reading it from REQUEST]

• How to flush output after each `echo` call?

  Hi all! I've a php script that only produces logs to the client. When I echo something, i wan't it to be transfered to client on-the-fly. (Because while the script is processing, the page is blank) I had already played arround with ob_start() and ob_flush(), but they didn't worked. What's the best solution?   Hello, I write a little Tool in C# with Visual Studio 2008. My Problem: I login to a website by HTTP-webrequest, I get an authentification cookie, thats all ok. Than I make a new HTTP-webrequest and add the cookies from the first request to call the next page where i can see my personal data. I see that the cookies will associated with the second request if I debug it but if I check the network traffic I see that are no Cookies transmitted at the second request. I tried many possibilities to see why i dont work but i found nothing. Does somebody have the same problem or know a solution? (Sorry for bad english)

I would like to use "key navigation" and for that, i use the keypress event with down/up key ) When my mouse is over a div (div who's contenaing a big table) and i pull the down key : i scroll to next td + change css style + remove the current style And again, for each event.. So, because my mouse is over the main div, each time i scroll (auto) to a element, the mouseover event is triggered .. And so, the effect is missed.. This is the perfect script : User use keyboard navigation : Mouseover is disabled (so style change only with up/down key) User don't use keyboard : mouseover change the style Could you help me ? • Windows media player control with .NET

  What I want to do is to read media files (pics and videos) from a directory and display them one by one using the WMP control (AxWMPLib.AxWindowsMediaPlayer). In its older version it was enough to check the file's duration to distinguish images from videos, the new one randomly shows movies' duration properly or as zero. Does anyone know any other way of finding out what file is being proceeded withouth checking its extension (as a file can have an extension of .abc or so)? I'll be very grateful for any help. (Sorry for my lousy English.)

• "digg" button and encoded url :S

  Hi! I wrote a php site (it's still a prototype) and i placed a "Digg" button. Placing the button was easy but.... Official manual says "url has to be encoded". I did that with urlencode(). After urlencode, my url looks like this: http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mysite.com%2Fen%2Fredirect.php%3Fl%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.othersite.rs%2FNews%2FWorld%2F227040%2FRusia-Airplane-crashed%26N%3DRusia%3A+Airplane+crashed So far, so good but when i want to submit that url to digg, it is recognized as invalid url: http://www.mysite.com/en/redirect.php?l=http://www.othersite.rs/News/World/227040/Rusia-Airplane-crashed&N=Rusia:+Airplane crashed If i place a "+" between "Airplane" and "crashed" (mere end of a link), then digg recognize it without any problems! Please help, this bizare problem is killing my braincells! P.S. for purpose of this answer urls are changed (nonexisting) because, in original, non-english sites are involved P.S.S.   What is the best way to add errors to render if a child resource is really what's having issues and not the parent resource? In english what I mean is the following.. imagine the following code: @foo = Foo.new foochild = Foochild.new // break foochild somehow @foo << foochild @foo.save now when I do: format.xml { render :xml => @foo.errors } I don't get anything about how foochild broke, meaning the error message is useless to the user. How does one go about fixing this?
