  • Extended desktop problem

    I'm a little embarrassed I can't seem to fix this issue: Running a Dell D630 laptop with a VGA to an external monitor. Every time the computer goes to sleep the Dualview setting reverts to single display. I click the Nvidia dualview setting again but the external monitor remains black screen. The only way I can get it working again is to restart :(. What's going on here?? thanks yall //sw

    I need a tool to automatically backup my Drupal installations from my server to my laptop. In other terms, I need to copy 1 folder (all my Drupals are inside this folder) and all databases. So I was wondering if I just need to write a script on my laptop connecting to the server every week copying the folder with all mysql databases informing me by email if the backup has been succesfull do you know if I can find some tutorial for it ? or download such script ? thanks

    I just want to know how to synchronize my Outlook 2010 calender to sharepoint 2010 website. I am able to synchronize sharepoint calender into my Outlook calender but not able to do Outlook calender (meetings, Data) into sharpoint Calender. When my office people go into our intranet site, I just want them to see my calender in sharepoint which updates the data from Outlook calender and displays it but this calender data on sharepoint calender should only be read only to other users.     What are the pros and cons of spinning up an internal certificate authority (primarily Windows 2003 CA)? We have the need to encypt server-server traffic on a project that has 20+ certificates. We could buy certs from Verisign, but I was thinking that an internal CA might be a better long term solution. So I was looking to the community to provide a pros/cons list of what we might gain (or lose) by hosting our own CA? Thanks in advance for the help.

I know I can set the port number using adsutil.vbs like this: cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/xxx/securebindings ":443:somewhere.com" But I am drawing a big blank when it comes to assigning an existing ssl certificate.     I would prefer to set up our DFS such as: \domain.local\users \domain.local\customers \domain.local\support etc. Is this a problem? Do I need to instead set all of the above folders as targets under a root such as: \domain.local\files\users \domain.local\files\customers \domain.local\files\support Other than the path being shorter in the top example, which is what I would prefer, is there a difference in functionality in Windows DFS between the two examples shown?
