  Hey, I'm struggling to copy the Primary Key to another field in Access. This is irrelevant , but clarifying on what I'm comparing. ... WHERE Tunniste=" & [Tarkiste] & "" Tunniste = Primary Key , Autonumber , ID (Generated by Access.) Tarkiste = This is the field I want to copy it to compare it. I'm open to suggestions, I've already try'ed with Form_Load, using the following code. Private Sub Form_Load() DoCmd.RunSQL "UPDATE Korut SET [Tarkiste]=('" & Tunniste & "');" End Sub But this copied the same key to all the entries in "Tarkiste" field. In simplicity I want 1:1 copy of field "Tunniste" to "Tarkiste" , whichever method it takes. Started from this question. File Picker Replaces All Rows With The Same Choice.

  I am making an android game that is checking the players health value when this method is being runned. But however, it's not reacting. It doesn't do anything, when the value is less than 3, it shouldn't do anything, but when it is equal to 3, it should run a method. Please help me and thanks SO much in advance!   Hi, I have an application that handles the OnQuit event of another running application. I would like to raise an additional (custom) event when the OnQuit event is handled. How could I implement such an event?   On the internet I see a lot of code which uses this. to access local members of a class, like this: private String _whatever; public String Whatever { get { return this._whatever; } set { this._whatever = value; } } public void DoSomething() { String s = this.Whatever; this.DoSomething(); } (don't expect the code to do something sensible. I just wanted to show a few different uses for "this.") I wonder why to do this? To add more clarity to the source? Or is it just a waste of space?

• Best way of invoking getter by reflection

  Hello, I need to get the value of a field with a specific annotation, So with reflection I am able to get this Field Object. The problem is that this field will be always private though I know in advance it will always have a getter method. I know that I can use setAccesible(true) and get its value (when there is no PermissionManager), though I prefer to invoke its getter method. I know that I could look for the method by looking for "get+fieldName" (though I know for example for boolean fields are sometimes named as "is+fieldName"). I wonder if there is a better way to invoke this getter (many frameworks use getters/setters to access the attributes so maybe they do in another way). Thanks

  I've run into something odd in a .NET CF 2.0 project for Pocket PC 2003 (Visual Studio 2005). I was dealing with a System.IO.Stream object and found that the IDE wouldn't auto-complete the Dispose() method. I typed it in manually and received: 'System.IO.Stream.Dispose(bool)' is inaccessible due to its protection level The error is referring to the protected Dispose(bool) method. Dispose() is either private or not present. Question 1: How is this possible? Stream implements IDisposable: public abstract class Stream : MarshalByRefObject, IDisposable ... and IDisposable requires a Dispose() method: public interface IDisposable { void Dispose(); } I know the compiler won't let me get away with that in my code. Question 2: Will I cause problems by working around and disposing my streams directly? IDisposable idisp = someStream; idisp.Dispose(); The implicit cast is accepted by the compiler.

• Trying to use a list iterator to print out entire linked list in Java. Infinite loop for some reaso

  I created my list: private static List list = new LinkedList(); and my iterator: ListIterator itr = list.listIterator(); and use this code to try to print out the list... Only problem is, it never comes out of the loop. When it reaches the tail, shouldn't it come out of the loop, because there is no next? Or is it going back to the head like a circular linked list? It is printing so quickly and my computer locks up shortly after, so I can't really tell what is going on. while (itr.hasNext()) System.out.println(itr.next());

  Hallo all Is it possible to persist a generic field? I have this property on an Entity class ... private T payload; ... T extends EventMessagePayload and public interface StringPayload extends EventMessagePayload{ String getPayload(); } In my application i persist the field only when is of String type and during the save operation all works great. When I read the object instead JPA try to create a String object but instead is a StringPaylod. Is there a way to intercept the creation and handle the object marshalling? Kind regards Massimo

• C# Object Array CopyTo links both arrays' values?

  Okay, I have what I think is a simple question.. or just a case of me being a C# beginner. I have an array of custom objects (clsScriptItem) that I am populating from a database. Once the items are loaded, I want to back them up to "backup" array so I can revert the information back after changing the main array. However, when I use CopyTo to copy the array and then alter the original array, the backup array is also being altered... I though CopyTo merely copied values + structure from one array to another. private void backupItems() { lastSavedItems = new clsScriptItem[items.Length]; items.CopyTo(lastSavedItems, 0); //items[0].nexts[0] is 2 //lastSavedItems[0].nexts[0] is 2 items[0].nexts[0] = "-1"; //items[0].nexts[0] is -1 //lastSavedItems[0].nexts[0] is also -1 } How do I backup this data without having the two arrays be 'linked'??

  "How do you hang up incoming calls (in Android of course)?" First, I know this question has been asked and answered several times, and the response is always "you can't". But if we look in the market we get a few applications (all private software, no access to the source code... :-( ) that do this action, such as CallFilter, Panda firewall and others... So... does somebody know how these apps do the hang up action, (or terminate, or disconnect or whatever you call it..)? And other question, if the first don't get a response.. does somebody know how send an incoming call to the voice mail? Of course, all questions are about how to do it programmatically. So with the voicemail question I know there's a flag in contacts that is used for that, but like I said, I'd like to know the programmatical way. Thanks all!

All the possible classes that I would give to this method extend from Model and have the method count().   Hi, I have had my new rails program up for a few days now. I'm running it on Ubuntu 10.4 with apache2 in another location than the website it's made for (it's a standalone database application for physiotherapists). The people I made it for now want me to deploy it to the public part of their website, only with one change. Those who open it via the link in the public-part should not be able to click one button! I was thinking of doing something like this in my view: <% if session[:inside]%> <%=button_to 'Sækja mælitæki', @link_to_mt%> <%end%> How could I set session[:inside] only to true if the program was started from within the private part of the webpage? I thought of creating two new actions, the other would set session[:inside] to true and the other to false, but that seems to me like a security risk, is it not? BR, Sindri

• I set a global bug catcher in my application for unhandled exceptions and it is picking up all exceptions

In my vb.net application I set a global handler in the ApplicationEvents.vb which I thought would only pick up any unhandled exceptions, although it is picking up every exception that happens in my application whether or not they are handled with try catch blocks. It is possible to tell the Proxy return null instead of raising the exception? Detailed Explanation: Our document: class User { /* @MongoDB\ReferenceOne( ... ) */ private $photo; } If $photo contains a MongoDbRef, but the document is lost/deleted, when we do if ($user.photo) { ... } doctrine will raise a MongoDBException: The "Proxies\DocumentPhotoProxy" document with identifier "4fd8b3ef732bafab7b000000" could not be found We want to suppress the exception since our application can handle null values in that variable. (we could simply log that error, while the exception propagate to a 500 page and disrupt our service)

  Here's the scenario: I have a private site that, once logged on, will display different information depending on the attributes of your account: the pages are branded differently based upon what company you are associated with. The problem is the companies linking to this site want everything to be displayed as their own brand, and do not want to see my brand anywhere, especially in the URL (i.e. from www.theirbrand.com they do not want to have links to www.mybrand.com). Is there an elegant solution to this? Is the best option to add a page on www.theirbrand.com that contains an iframe with a source of www.mybrand.com (I'm not sure if that would interfere with back/forward navigation, etc), or is there a better way?

• Storing information in the DOM?

  Im making a small private message application in the form of a phone. Ten messages are shown at the time. And the list of messages are scrolled up/down by hiding them. Just how bad is it to use the DOM to store information in this way. My main goal for doing this is to reduce calls to the database. And instead of making a new call all the time, it only checks if any new messages has arrived and ads the new message(s). Whats the alternative, cookies anyone? Thank you for the time
